Marie Manuchehri Kategorien $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 07:38 Intuition VS Resistance There's a voice that says not this and a voice that says not yet and from the inside, they can sound identical. Most of us have talked ourselves out of something true because it felt uncomfortable, and talked ourselves into something wrong because it felt exciting. The confusion isn't a flaw in your intuition. It's that no one ever taught you where in your body each one lives. Marie Manuchehri brings decades of work as an energy intuitive to a question that comes up in nearly every session she leads: How do I know if this is guidance or fear? $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 15:18 Find Your Joy: Manifesting in a Shifted World For a long time, manifesting felt like effort. Vision boards and affirmations and trying to think the right thoughts hard enough. Wanting something so badly it almost hurt. Something has changed. In this session, energy intuitive Marie Manuchehri shares what she's observing in the energy of the planet right now — a shift that has made creation faster and more responsive than it's ever been. What used to take years of pushing can now move in weeks. But there's a catch, and it isn't about discipline or willpower. It's about joy. Marie explores why joy has become the most reliable signal in this new energy — not as a reward you receive after everything works out, but as the very frequency that calls your life toward you. When you're operating from obligation, fear, or urgency, you're broadcasting one thing. When you're operating from genuine delight, you're broadcasting something else entirely. And the earth is listening more closely than it used to. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 06:47 The Power of the Throat Chakra Think of the last time you swallowed what you actually wanted to say. Maybe you softened it. Maybe you said "it's fine" when it wasn't. Maybe you rehearsed the sentence a hundred times and never said it at all. Most of us know that feeling — the tightening, the lump, the quiet closing of the throat. In this session, energy intuitive Marie Manuchehri explores the throat chakra: the energy center that governs expression, truth, and the courage to be heard. It sits between the heart and the mind, which is exactly why it's so often congested. It's the bridge between what you feel and what you're willing to let others know. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 04:55 Embracing Regrets Most of us carry regret quietly. The choice we didn't make. The words we said, or the ones we never got to say. The version of our life we thought we'd be living by now. We're often told to let regret go as if it's simply dead weight. But regret is energy, and energy always has something to tell us. In this session, energy intuitive Marie Manuchehri offers a different way. Rather than pushing regret away or drowning in it, Marie explores what happens when you turn toward it with love. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 10:21 Raising Your Vibration Meditation Some days you can feel it — the heaviness in your chest, the static in your thoughts, the sense that you're moving through the world at a frequency that no longer feels like you. This meditation is an invitation back. Join Marie for a gentle, guided practice designed to help you release lower-vibrational energy — stress, worry, self-doubt, whatever you've been carrying — and reconnect with the lighter, more expansive frequency that lives beneath it all. Through breath, visualization, and Marie's grounding presence, you'll be guided to soften your body, quiet your mind, and remember the natural state of ease that's always available to you. Whether you're beginning your day, transitioning between moments, or simply needing a reset, this practice meets you where you are and lifts you gently from there. Find a quiet space. Let your shoulders drop. Press play when you're ready. Best experienced with headphones and without interruption. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 23:58 The Art of Mediumship Meditation Mediumship isn't something you acquire — it's something you remember. A quieting. A widening. A willingness to listen to what has always been trying to reach you. In this guided meditation, Marie leads you into the still, receptive space where connection becomes possible. You'll be gently guided to ground your body, expand your awareness beyond the physical, and open the subtle channels — sensing, seeing, hearing, knowing — through which spirit communicates. Whether you're new to mediumship or already walking this path, this practice is designed to help you soften into trust, meet what comes with an open heart, and return to yourself feeling clearer, held, and more attuned. This is not a performance or a demonstration. It's a practice — one Marie invites you into with care, reverence, and the understanding that everyone's connection unfolds in its own time and its own language. Find a quiet space where you won't be disturbed. Have water nearby. When you're ready, take a breath, and begin. Best experienced with headphones, in a calm environment, and with time afterward to journal or simply rest. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 57:30 Your Emotions Are the Medicine with Marie Manuchehri What if everything your body is experiencing right now started somewhere else — in your energy field, months or even years ago? This week, Mechelle sits down with Marie Manuchehri, former oncology nurse turned energy healer and intuitive, whose gifts first showed up at the bedside in the most unexpected way. Marie walks us through the energetic roots of physical health, the emotional component behind every chakra, and why the most powerful medicine you have access to right now might be something as simple as swinging on a swing. They also explore the difference between intuition and the brain (hint: only one of them is for putting IKEA furniture together), what it actually means to feel safe on Earth, and why healers especially need to spend more time in their own magnificence. Marie's warmth and clarity make the invisible world feel wonderfully close — and completely workable. Meet Jackie — the therapist Monte & Mechelle have been seeing since 2019, and the name you've heard us drop in almost every episode. In this candid Season 2 opener, we finally introduce the woman behind the work. Jackie has spent 30+ years as a therapist specializing in trauma, addiction, and the partners affected by it — and she pulls back the curtain on what really happens in the room. We talk about the difference between therapy and counseling (and why you can't be talked out of your trauma), how trust gets built when trust is the very thing that's broken, and why real healing starts in the body, not the head. Jackie shares her hardest and best days in the field, gets honest about sexless seasons and sexual trauma in marriage, breaks down the biggest myths about sex addiction, and revisits the question Monte kept asking early on — "Should we just get divorced?" — and why she never answered it. Warm, funny, and deeply human. Turns out therapists are people too… just ask her kids. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 01:09:23 Patriarchy: The Air We’ve Been Breathing Many of the struggles women experience — self-doubt, over-functioning, fear of being “too much,” difficulty resting — don’t exist in a vacuum. This video gives you a clear and engaging overview of moral psychology, showing both Kohlberg’s influential theory and Gilligan’s critique that reshaped the conversation. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 05:54 The Root of Sex Addictions Certified therapist Jackie Pack dives into the roots of sex addiction—how past trauma, attachment wounds, and emotional dysregulation all intertwine. In this episode, Mechelle sits down with Dr. Karyn Shanks, physician, former nurse, and author of Unbroken. Karyn shares the moment in medical school when she realized she was being taught to see suffering people as broken things to fix, and the decades of unexplained fatigue and injuries that finally led her to a new understanding of the body as wise, intelligent, and always working to keep us safe. Together they explore: * Why your body is never wrong, and what pain is really trying to tell you * The three parts of Unbroken: We Belong, We Flow, and We Rise * How disconnection from ourselves, each other, and nature sits at the root of so much chronic illness * Why “bad habits” like that cookie or bag of chocolate chips are often genius survival strategies * How trauma shapes our health, and why naming it can empower rather than overwhelm us * A simple “safety circuit” practice to settle your nervous system in moments of overwhelm * What “sparkly wholeness” means and how to claim it, imperfect parts and all Whether you’re living with chronic pain, feel like you’ve slipped through the cracks of conventional care, or simply want a kinder relationship with your body, this conversation is a reminder that you are already whole. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 50:41 26. Your Partner isn’t Your Parent Riding out of Yellowstone's north entrance on the motorcycle, Monte and Mechelle pick up a Season 2 episode idea from their therapist, Jackie: projection. Monte gets honest about how he put his childhood experiences with his mom onto Mechelle. Her tears felt like manipulation. Her words sounded like a story he already knew the ending to. And underneath it all was a deep hole he believed she could fill — and blamed her for when she didn't. In this episode: • How projection quietly runs a marriage, even when nothing is said out loud • The fawn response, codependency, and losing your sense of self • Why the first 18 months of life shape our ability to trust (Erik Erikson) • Mother hunger, and the hand-on-heart practice Monte uses with his younger self • "Do I really love you, or am I just fawning for safety?" • Screening a parent's calls, the guilt that comes with it, and the grief of realizing support didn't have to be that hard. This is a conversation about relationship repair, attachment healing, and the slow work of taking back what was never your partner's to carry. If you've ever wondered whether a fight was really about the present, this one's for you. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 01:07:45 24. Old Motorcycles, Long Marriages: Loving the Wild Ride Content note: This episode includes a conversation about suicidal thoughts. If you're struggling, please reach out. In the US, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. You're not alone, and people want to help. Somewhere on the road, on a 22-year-old Gold Wing with 111,000 miles on it, Mechelle asks Monte what he'd tell couples at every stage of rupture: before it hits, in the middle of it, and on the long road after. Monte's answers are honest and sometimes counterintuitive. Ruptures are normal in a long-term relationship, so don't be alarmed. If you're in the lowest part of a rupture, don't rule out giving up. Keeping divorce on the table can work like a pressure-relief valve while you face the bitterest truths and learn the relationship skills you don’t have yet. Mechelle shares the Plan A she didn't know she was living by: a smooth, flat road with no weather, no construction, and zero problems. She talks about the moment in the middle of the rupture when a quiet voice asked, "Isn't it great?" She also talks about losing her mom, and why we keep buying tickets for the metaphorical rollercoaster even when the ride is terrifying. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 43:42 23. Glimmers: The Opposite of a Triggers (32 Years of Marriage) Glimmers are the opposite of triggers — moments of safety your nervous system stores and can return to. On their 32nd anniversary, recorded from the road on day four of a motorcycle trip, Monte and Mechelle each share three glimmers, one per decade of marriage. Inside: the Gottman research on how couples narrate their shared history and what it predicts; the Holmberg and Holmes finding that memories of your early relationship shift to match how you feel now; and why repair in the present reaches backward into the past. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 01:02:40 25. The Motorcycle, the Marriage, and the Melee 3,700 miles. 10 days. One Gold Wing. And one fight we didn’t see coming. Riding through Yellowstone brought back memories of our first big motorcycle trip in 2019, a 25th anniversary ride we left for straight from a therapy session, in the middle of the hardest season of our marriage. We had no real route, a $20 tent, and a feeling that this trip might make us or break us. In this episode, we revisit that ride, from Idaho to Glacier’s Going-to-the-Sun Road, across the endless grain fields of Saskatchewan, into a tornado warning in Regina, down in the mud, and through a terrifying hail-and-snowstorm on Pikes Peak. Then, after days of adventure and real bonding, a single conversation about family turned into white-hot rage and a silent, dissociated ride across Colorado. We talk honestly about what was happening underneath: emotional flashbacks that wipe out every good memory in the “relationship bank account,” fawning through a fight just to get to the end of the day, why you should never ride (or drive) angry, and the hard truth that sometimes, when things feel too good, a part of us blows it up to get back to what’s familiar. This is a real-time look at relational trauma, nervous system dysregulation, and relationship repair in a long-haul marriage, and why we’ve never once regretted turning east. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 25:19 Holding Back the Dam Mechelle and Monte start recording just as an email from the DMV sends Monte into an emotional flashback. Instead of pushing through it, he stops and describes what’s happening: the clumsy, floaty feeling, the slow thinking, and the familiar powerlessness that shows up whenever someone has authority over him. Together they talk through what’s underneath it. The DMV is the spark, not the fuel. Mechelle retells the day at a car dealership when years of held-in frustration broke loose all at once. Monte explains why his anger never builds slowly. It gets held back like a dam until it can’t be held any longer. They also look at how childhood rules about not protesting or showing upset taught him to hold it in, and why that was never a personal failing. They also walk through the first steps of Pete Walker’s guide for working through an emotional flashback, so you can see what they sound like in a real moment. If your fuse has ever been shorter than the situation called for, this one’s for you. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 01:15:05 What If Your Imagination Is Telling the Truth? When Rayven was little, she went missing in a cupboard. Her mom panicked and called the police. When Rayven came out she looked different, and she had a story about where she'd been — bright colors, beings of every shape and size, and a very tall someone whose hand she was holding who felt like an old friend. Her mom told her she had a wonderful imagination. Years later she remembered it, and landed on the question: what if the imagination is telling the truth? Just in time for spooky season, Rayven and Mechelle go all the way in. Fae who steal keys on hikes. A lion-headed being who jump-scared her mid-session. A coven of women who practice their gifts on each other. Ancestars. Three versions of every person who's passed. And a practice for the fear underneath it all: give it a color, hold it, then choose to be weird anyway. You might imagine standing on a wide-open plain with a storm approaching, or holding the tiny finger of a newborn baby. That word, awe - the feeling of being in the presence of something vast that transcends your understanding of the world - is often associated with the extraordinary. But you don’t need remarkable circumstances to encounter awe. You can find it every day, often in the humblest places. Staring up at a starry sky; looking at a sculpture that makes you shudder; listening to a medley of instruments joining into one complex, spine-tingling melody - those experiences remind us that we’re part of something that will exist long after us. Luckily, we don’t need to wait until we stumble upon it - we can seek it out. Awe is all around us. With a little intentionality, we can reclaim our sense of wonder in the everyday, ordinary moments of life. Perhaps awe, while an ordinary response to the extraordinary, is also an extraordinary response to the ordinary. Featuring Dot Fisher-Smith. Filmed in Ashland, Oregon, USA. Video abspielen Video abspielen 01:45 Communication Skills: Empathetic Listening - Inside Out, 2015 Communication Skills: Empathetic Listening Effective listening skills are the basics of building successful relationships with people. How we engage others in verbal and non-verbal communication, what do we hear behind words, how we understand and empathize the emotions of others, ask questions and clarify the messages — all these contribute to our emotional intelligence and effective social skills, influencing our lives both on a personal and professional level. A picture is worth a thousand words! To ensure a deeper understanding and provide more meaningfulness to the basic communication and social skills training, we routinely use clips from famous movies — as an example of “what to do” or “what not to do”. The effectiveness of this online learning method is achieved through the inclusion of our visual channel of perception, emotionality of the image, and ease of submission of material. Enjoy your experience! This movie clip refers to the Effective Listening lesson which is part of the Genius of Communication online learning course, along with six other lessons on Body Language, Verbal Communication, Building Relationships, Conflict Resolution, Personal Image, and Manners & Etiquette. Together they encompass the basics of social skills and provide one big advantage — they give us the freedom to communicate effectively with anyone and everywhere, liberate us from shyness, and shift our confidence to a higher level. It should be noted that this was an observational study; it did NOT separate the children from their parents for the purpose of the experiment. Children that were institutionalized were observed before and after the therapeutic intervention. All had been reared in institutions without the opportunity for a stable and intimate relationship with one primary caregiver. All had been moved from one institution to another several times. For most of them, the capacity for human relationships was seriously impaired. The first portion of the film shows some of the disorders that appear due to maternal deprivation, the second shows the progress and improvement with dedicated care and psychotherapy. But this wasn't just about finding the best orthopedic surgeon—it was about finding one with heart. This is the story of how Alaya discovered Dr. Hector Moreno in Ecuador, how she asked him to be her friend and not just her doctor, and how she prepared her body—on a conscious, cellular level—for surgery. It's about a surgical team that embraced her as family. A moment before anesthesia when the lead surgeon held her hand and brought her back into trust. And a recovery so profound that she never took a single pain medication. This is what happens when medicine and consciousness come together. You are doing what you have always done — trying, adjusting, working on yourself — and it isn't landing the way it used to. The effort goes out and nothing comes back. It is easy to read that as failure. To assume you need to try harder, or that you have somehow lost your way. You haven't. Darlene names what is actually happening: the moment you are standing in no longer responds to change. Change rearranges what is already there. It improves, adjusts, manages. Transformation is something else entirely — it does not tidy the old form, it releases it. Effort belongs to change. It was never meant to carry you through this. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 09:25 Transformation from an Elevated State You have been taught to change from the place where the problem lives. To shift it from inside the very state that created it. There is another way. Darlene invites you into a different starting point — one where transformation is not effort applied to a wound, but a natural consequence of the state you are in. When you rise first, the change follows. $ Abonnieren Abonnieren 04:41 Releasing Rejection Deep trauma doesn't just live in our thoughts—it lives in our cells. For Alaya, rejection that began before she was even born, that lived in her mother's womb and echoed through generations, was literally being held and expressed by her body as chronic pain. In this transformational moment, Alaya describes the breakthrough: the moment she released the cellular memory of rejection that went back to being an ovum in her mother's ovary. And what happened when her body no longer needed to hold that story. She danced for the first time in years. Her hips moved freely. The pain that had stopped her life was gone. But what shifted most profoundly was deeper: a complete cellular reconciliation with her mother. A love that goes beyond understanding, into embodiment. This is the power of true healing. Not just fixing the symptom, but releasing the ancestral, cellular, and emotional patterns that the body has been faithfully expressing all along. When we align with our deepest truth, when we heal our inherited wounds, our souls can finally embody fully. Because the body was never broken. It was speaking the only language it knew—the language of ancestral trauma. And when that trauma is released, everything transforms.
